A native of New Zealand, Heathermary Jackson began
her editorial career in London as a contributing fashion editor
and then as Fashion Director at The Face where she became
known for a style best described as eclectic, edgy and urban, but
very feminine. After relocating to New York in 2002, she helped
launch the acclaimed magazine, America, where she was the
Fashion Director.
In addition to her work for The Face
and America, Heathermary has contributed to many of the
world’s top magazines including i-D Magazine, L’Uomo
Vogue, Italian Vogue, Teen Vogue, Pop,
Details, Zoo, Arena Homme Plus, Flair
and Mixt(e); She has also collaborated successfully with
many of the fashion industry’s leading photographers among
them Steven Klein, Stephane Sednauoi, Terry Richardson, Ellen von
Unwerth, Matt Jones, Yelena Yemchuck, Peter Lindberg, David Armstrong,
Nicolas Moore, Norman Jean Roy, Miles Aldridge, Willy Vanderpere,
David LaChapelle, Patrick Demarchelier, Larry Clark, Terry Tsiolis
and Regan Cameron.
Heathermary’s work as a runway stylist
is exceptional and she is kept busy each season styling shows for
prominent international designers such as Salvatore Ferragamo, Costello
Tagiateperi, J. Lindeberg, Milly and Karen Walker who repeatedly
book her to style their shows. The house of Ferragamo and J. Lindberg
also utilize her talent as a fashion consultant, and they are not
alone - Kenneth Cole, Iceberg and Exté have all sought out
her expertise.
Over the years Heathermary has styled advertising
for Bergdorf Goodman, Banana Republic, Levi’s, Tag Huer, Sisley,
Max Mara, Sean John, Calvin Klein and of course Salvatore Ferragamo.
As designers trust Heathermary’s talent
so do celebrities, and the list of those with whom she has worked
is impressive, among them Brad Pitt, Kiera Knightly, Diddy, Justin
Timberlake, Ethan Hawke, Tobey Maguire, Penélope Cruz, Usher,
Pharrell, Chloë Sevigny, Anthony Kiedis, Viggo Mortensen and
Juliette Lewis.
