It is the streamlined connection between fashion and food that drew Liza to the graceful art of food styling. Following her early success in fashion, Liza dove head first into Culinary School where she was able to marry her deep passion for visual balance and perfection.
Her years at Martha Stewart taught her how a pile of tomatoes arranged just so becomes a work of art instead of just a pile. Liza is inspired by textures, construction, the burlesque, foraging and even the layers of flavor in a smelly cheese: they can all inspire beautiful food.
She is always on the quest for the highest quality and just won’t settle for mediocre, not even with movie popcorn. Her passion for food sends her happily to restaurants around the world, always on the quest for that unexpected ‘wow’. She is a works with The New York Times Magazine, Elle, Vogue, Gourmet and Body and Soul.
She currently lives in Manhattan with her mutt, Clarence.
