Born in Winchester, Hampshire Luke spent most of his childhood living in Australia before returning back to the UK at the age of 10. It is the combination of Luke’s Home Counties roots and his early Australian outdoor adventures that ultimately led to his definitive style of, “effortless yet cool.”

In 1998 Luke graduated at The Surrey Institute of Art & Design in his Fashion Promotion & Illustration degree course. Already holding a full time position at Attitude magazine Luke was appointed Fashion Editor in 2001 before becoming Fashion Director in 2004.

Luke is currently Fashion Editor of Arena Homme +.

Luke has also contributed to the following magazines; Dazed & Confused, Pop, V Man, i-D, Vanity Fair and Commons & Sense Man.

Photographers worked with include; Matthias Vriens, Alisdair McLellan, Daniel Jackson, Rankin, Bryan Adams, Lachlan Bailey, Julian Broad, Magnus Unnar, Chad Pitman, Josh Olins, Lee Jenkins, David Hughes and Robert Wyatt.

Advertising clients include; Levi's, Top Man, Marks & Spencer, Thomas Pink, Debenhams and Clarks, Dove, Olay and Herbal Essence. Luke currently styles for numerous Paul Smith campaigns. These include; Paul Smith, PS, Paul x, Pink, Black, London and Paul Smith fragrances.

Luke regularly works with celebrities such as; Take That, Scissor Sisters, The Feeling, Will Young, Jonathan Rhys- Meyers, Preston, Geri Haliwell, Kylie Minogue, Rufus Wainwright, David Beckham, Freddie Ljungberg and John Terry.

In April 2008, Luke Day was named in The Times UK Music's top 20 star-makers, citing the industry’s most powerful and in-demand players today. Luke was the only stylist included in this list which was topped by Lucien Grainge the Universal Music Group International Chairman/CEO and Simon Cowell who ranked in at number 2.

Luke is currently based in London.
