Mimi Lombardo is currently
the fashion director at Travel + Leisure magazine. This
follows her years as fashion editor at The New York Times Magazine
and T. As well as her commitments as a full time magazine
editor, Mimi has styled advertising campaigns for Etienne Aigner,
Macy’s, Nicole Miller at JC Penny, L’Oréal, Urban
Outfitters, Mark by Avon, Old Spice and Colgate.
In 1999 Mimi collaborated with reportage photographer
Shelby Lee Adams on “Sunday Best” a fashion story featuring
the people of Appalachia for which she won an award from the Society
of Publication Designers. In addition she has collaborated with
many of the fashion industries leading photographers among them,
Ben Watts, Rankin, Ruven Afanador, Donald Macpherson, Matthias Vriens,
Robert Maxwell, Phil Poynter, Satoshi, Ellen von Unwerth, Cleo Sullivan,
Ilan Rubin, Diego Uchitel, Alex Caley, Amanda de Cadenet, Iris Brosch,
Alexi Hay, Vava Ribiero, Christophe Rihet and Alistair Taylor Young.
Mimi is a talented fashion show consultant
and stylist. In September 2005 she styled the spring 2006 Twinkle
show at New York fashion week and she has appeared as a guest stylist
on the Style Network show Fashion Police with Robert Verde.
Mimi has styled celebrities including Rachel
Weisz, Sheryl Crow, Mena Suvari, Kelis, Gabrielle Union, LeAnn Rimes,
Chloe Sevigny, Juliette Lewis, Melissa George, Patti Hanson, Naomi
Judd and Emmylou Harris.
