Splitting Hairs
I like to say that my hair has a life of its own. I literally style it the same way every day -- down to the minute that I start blowdrying -- and it has never once come out looking the way it did the day before. Add in wind, rain, or smoke from bars (not in New York but in other cities that haven't outlawed that yet), and I might as well just put a paper bag over my head! So I was totally psyched to discover the Ted Gibson Hair Sheet, an ample-sized towelette doused with the Ted Gibson amino acid complex. What is this, you may ask? It's a blend of wild orchid extract and natural plant aroma that purports to keep your hair looking polished and finished, all while giving off the loveliest floral fragrance. I simply had to try this for myself -- and I figured what better day than one where it was 60 degrees and raining in the morning and 40 degrees and clear in the evening? I ripped open the silver packet and took out the cloth, then liberally ran it over my sad-looking hair from roots to ends. The result was pretty darn near fantastic! Where before my locks were a strange cross between limp and out-of-this-world frizzy, now they were shiny and silky but with a sort of beachy, rocker-like texture. The ends were piecey to the point of perfection and my roots, rather than looking greasy, actually gave off just the right amount of sheen. I was also pleasantly surprised by the feel of the product on my hair -- though it leaves it a bit damp, it is still very touchable and soft without looking like I hadn't washed it in a few days! All in all I'd say this is definitely a product worth trying -- especially since you can purchase a box of 10 sheets for only $25 on Sephora's website! You know what they say: hair today, gone tomorrow...
