Christine Corbel was born
and raised in Brittany. After a nine-month trip through South America
in the late 1980’s, she settled down in Paris. There she met
a number of renowned make-up artists who introduced her to the professional
art form in the fashion world.
Ever since, Christine has developed a strong technique that is both
intuitive and precise. It is this keen sensibility allied with a
great sense of image that enable Christine to work with photographers
such as: Nathaniel Goldberg, Satoshi Saïkusa, Javier Vallhonrat,
Stéphane Sédnaoui, Mario Sorrenti, Horst Diekgerdes,
Alex Cayley, Jan Welters, Philippe Cometti, Vanina Sorrenti, Jean-Baptiste
Mondino, Bettina Rheims, Terry Richardson, Ellen von Unwerth, David
Slijper, Jean-François Lepage, Michaelangelo Di Battista,
Alexi Haye and Vincent Peters.
Her editorial work can be seen in Vogue (Italian, French,
British, German and Japanese editions), Glamour (American
and Italian), The Face, Rebel, Ten, i-D,
Zoo, Dutch, Self-Service and Mixt(e).
Christine has contributed to the ad campaigns of Trésor by
Lancôme, Omega, Promesse Cacharel Parfum, Cartier, Atsuro
Tayama, La Perla, Chantal Thomass, L’Air du Temps by Nina
Ricci, Nivéa Beauté, Clarins, Etro, Borbonese, Blugirl,
Morgan, A.P.C., Anne-Valerie Hash and Mosquino.
Christine has overseen the make-up direction of various fashion
shows including Mila Schön, Atsuro Tayama, Lancetti, Hugo Boss,
Kostas Murkudis, Exté, Ter & Bantine, A.P.C. and Gilles
Rosier.
Furthermore, Christine has also worked with celebrities like Claudia
Schiffer, Inès Sastre, Laeticia Casta, Eva Green, Emmanuelle
Seigner, Charlotte Rampling, Beyoncé and Destiny’s
Child, Cindy Crawford and Monica Bellucci.
