Film Noir, classic literature and painting from the Modernist & Contemporary genres continue to influence and inspire the work of make up artist, Lisa Houghton. Born and raised in England, Lisa began her career by assisting renowned make up artists and by testing with a number of assistant photographers, most of whom have established themselves today in the international and domestic fashion markets.
Lisa Houghton’s impressive roster of publications include fashion and beauty stories in Allure, Vogue (including the French, British, German and Italian editions), POP Magazine, V Magazine, W and Harper’s Bazaar. She has worked with the most influential and renowned photographers of our time such as Laurie Bartley, Alasdair McLellan, Glen Luchford, Raymond Meier, Richard Burbridge, Peter Lindbergh, and David Sims.
Regularly working on the advertising for Max Factor Cosmetics,
Lisa has also worked with Aquascutum, Diesel and Sportmax.
Recently relocated from London, Lisa Houghton lives in New York.
