Scott Andrew's makeup
technique is widely venerated in the fashion industry, and he is
regularly requested to contribute his talent to various magazines,
ad campaigns, and runway shows. His work appears in Allure, Harper's
Bazaar, W, Glamour, The Face and Vogue. He has worked
with leading photographers such as Michael Thompson, Nan Goldin,
Philippe Cometti, Irving Penn, Mario Testino, Ellen Von Unwerth,
Juergen Teller, Joshua Jordan and Marc Hom.
Kenneth Cole, Yves Saint Laurent, Fendissime, Ellen Tracy, Emporio
Armani, Tag Heuer, Emanual Ungaro, and Jones New York are some of
the fashion campaigns on which he has worked. In addition, his work
has been featured in beauty campaigns for Cover Girl, Prescriptives
and Oil of Olay. His list of celebrity clients includes Claire Danes,
Isabella Rossellini, Mira Sorvino, Faith Hill, Cameron Diaz, Darryl
Hannah, Sheryl Crow, Celine Dion, Lauren Holly, Kyra Sedgewick,
and Annette Benning.
Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and raised in New York City, Scott
Andrew's early ambition to become a professional makeup artist began
while studying painting at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
After graduating, he returned to New York and began working at Alcone
Cosmetics. At Alcone, he attended seminars taught by special effects
makeup artists, instructed new students, and acted as the creative
consultant for Beauty Tech, a line of products distributed by Alcone
Cosmetics.
In the spring of 2000, Scott Andrew created a line of products for
Laneige Cosmetics, a makeup company targeted at young women and
sold exclusively in Korea.
Scott Andrew is currently based in New York.
