His career began at the tender age of 20, working as Jaime King’s make-up artist on MTV’s, House of Style. He then joined Make Up Forever Paris in New York, where in he traveled and conducted training seminars. Since 2002, Walter Obal has been the exclusive New York-based spokesperson and consultant for leading South American cosmetics brand Esika.
His work has been featured on the pages of German Vogue, Russian Vogue, Citizen K, GQ Style, Black Book and Numéro Tokyo. He has worked with many prominent photographers such as Nathaniel Goldberg, Greg Lotus, Max Farago, Kieron O’Connor, Greg Delves, Sarah Silver, Phil Poynter, Herve Haddad, Joshua Jordan, James Macari, Fabio Chizzola and David Roemer.
