Since relocating to New York from Japan, Yuki Wada has quickly established himself as one of the most talented and creative makeup artists in the industry. Yuki is regularly called upon by cutting-edge photographers, like Clarence K, Joshua Jordan, Arthur Belebeau, Marcus Klinko, Dahlen, Guzman and Guy Aroch. He has worked with various photographers on editorial shoots for Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire (American, British, Italian and Australian editions), Vogue, Surface, Allure, Esquire, Flaunt, Spin, Detour and D Magazine.

In addition, several innovative downtown designers repeatedly request Yuki for their shows. He has keyed fashion shows for Kitty Boots, Cake, and David Rodriguez, among others. Yuki has also acquired an impressive advertising client base that includes Missoni, Michael Kors, Richard Tyler, Calvin Klein and Adrienne Vittadini.

Yuki Wada completed his training at a makeup school in Japan. At the age of 22, he began working on a freelance basis and gained extensive popularity. Yuki derives his inspiration from each individual model or subject. He is requested for a wide range of makeup techniques, from extremely clean, virtually bare looking skin, to more dramatic effects. Yuki loves utilizing colors from nature, but believes that the application of only one color is too pallid. Instead, a range of complementary colors should be used to best enhance the desired look, and he has found that watercolors best achieve this effect.
