Jin Soon Choi, a native of Korea, is a professional nail artist and the founder/owner of Jin Soon Natural Hand & Foot Spas in New York City. Known for her steady hands and detailed work she never air-brushes even on the most intricate designs. Jin’s work is consistently featured on the cover and the inside pages of magazines including Vogue, W, Allure, InStyle, Marie Claire, Teen Vogue, Vogue Nippon, Elle, New York Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar and Rolling Stone. WWD proclaimed her the “media’s darling,” and in an historic seven-page spread featuring her nail art The New York Times Magazine crowned her the “Nail Guru.” She is also the featured nail expert in Sonia Kashka’s book Real Beauty (Clarkson Potter). It is no surprise that Jin’s nail care tips are valued by beauty editors who regularly include them on their magazines’ beauty pages.

Advertisers constantly seek Jin’s expertise on set and she has worked on campaigns for Cover Girl, L’Oreal, Pantene, M.A.C. Cosmetics, Sephora, Maybelline, Revlon, RMK Cosmetics, Prescriptives, Sally Hansen, Tiffany & Co., Prada, Missoni, Belstaff, D&G, Calvin Klein, Vera Wang - RTW, Lingerie and Eyewear - Elie Tahari, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s, Banana Republic, Jones New York and J. Crew. Her most memorable TV commercials featured designer Vera Wang both for the Hewlett Packard Hands campaign and for the Vera Wang by Serta mattress collection.

Backstage at New York fashion week is one of the favorite places for Jin and her team and they can be seen in action each season making sure that models’ hands and feet are runway-perfect. Her most recent shows included long-time clients Oscar De La Renta, Derek Lam and Cynthia Steffe all for Fall/Winter 2008, and she has also brought her expertise to shows and presentations for J. Mendel, Matthew Williamson, Rebecca Taylor, Vera Wang, Vivienne Tam and BCBG.

Sarah Jessica Parker was Jin’s first client at her spa in New York’s West Village, and it was here that Ms. Parker did her Vogue interview. Jin remains in demand to groom the hands and feet of celebrities such as Hillary Swank, Beyonce Knowles, Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Simpson, Heidi Klum, and Brittany Spears. She has also worked on photo shoots with Cate Blanchett, Jennifer Hudson, Halle Berry, Amanda Peet, Uma Thurman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sheryl Crow, Eva Longoria, Susan Sarandon, Kelly Ripa, and Queen Latifa.
