Mariano Vivanco was born
in Lima and raised in Peru, America and New Zealand, where he developed
a passion for photography, cinema and fashion. He decided to pursue
his dream and went on to study photography in Melbourne, Australia.
Vivanco’s rich cultural upbringing has
proven invaluable in his work. His greatest inspiration is people,
whose individual beauty he sees and captures.
In 2000 Vivanco moved to London and has since
worked for innumerable well-known magazines including i-D,
Vogue Nippon, L'Uomo Vogue, Vogue Homme International, Details,
Dazed & Confused, Another Magazine, 10 and 10 Man and GQ International.
Simultaneously has published four books for
the Dolce & Gabbana label featuring famous soccer players including
Cannavaro, Gattuso and Shevchenko to name a few. Calcio,
2003 was the first book of its genre to capture the emergence of
the soccer super star. This was followed by Milan, 2004
showcasing the great Italian team. Nationale, 2006 was made and
released during the World Cup 2006, which the Italian team won.
Milan Family, once again depicting the players of AC Milan,
this time with their families, is due for release 2007.

prestigious Dieux Du Stade Calendar 2007, featuring the French Rugby
team, which has subsequently gone on to become a best seller.
2007 saw Mariano hold his first solo exhibition, at the Print Space Gallery in London, supported by Dazed and Confused magazine. His editorial stories for the December issue of Dazed, titled 'Cult' and 'Artist' were shown on the two levels of the exhibition space. His second exhibition followed quickly on the heels of the first, this time in Milan. His imagery of the model David Gandy for Dolce and Gabbana's 2008 calendar was exhibited in Milan's Gold restaurant, fusing the Classical ideal of Michelangelo's David with modern ideals of masculinity.
Vivanco has also worked with such celebrities
as Eva Mendes, Dita von Tesse, Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova, Cillian Murphy, Rupert Friend,
Kiera Chaplin, Stephen Daldry and Sir Paul Smith.
