Scott Schuman, AKA, The
Sartorialist, started his eponymous blog two years ago and since
then has garnered a tremendously loyal and devoted fan base as well
as numerous press accolades, and was recently named one of Time
Magazine’s Design 100 as a major design influencer.
Prior to starting The Sartorialist, Scott worked
in sales and marketing in the high-end women’s market for
collections such as Valentino and distributors such as Onward Kashiyama,
representing such designers as Helmut Lang and Jean-Paul Gaultier.
He eventually opened his own showroom specializing in sales and
press for such young designers as Peter Som and James Coviello.
Since then his love of fashion and photography
have merged into his widely read blog, as well as in his contributions
for GQ and Style.com. Lastly, he has a number of ongoing
art ventures with both Danziger Projects, as well as Colette in
Paris.
